We are providing home inspections and are staying up to date on the ever changing precautions during the Covid-19 Pandemic with our clients safety as our 1st priority.

Here is how we are taking these precautions:

  • Wash hands multiple times during every inspection, especially after touching things like faucets and door handles.
  • Bring hand towels or paper towels for drying our hands.
  • Keep hand sanitizer nearby and use it when needed.
  • Use disinfectant wipes or the equivalent on faucets and door handles.
  • If any inspectors have a fever or cough, we will reschedule the inspection.
  • We will not shake hands or bump fists.
  • We will avoid touching our faces.

Residential Home Inspection

Buying or selling a home or condo can be one of the most rewarding dealings made in a lifetime. Yet no matter how attractive a property may seem on the surface; achieving a complete understanding of its actual structural condition before making an investment is crucial to the protection and security of your investment.

Why are Home Inspections Important?

Due to the fact that a buyer or seller has already put in a significant amount of money into the process, why is hiring an independent inspector a wise choice? As mentioned above it is important so that one can make a more accurate assessment of the property and understand where improvements need to be made. But it is more than just that.

Home Inspections Will Ensure Safety

Home inspections are also about the safety, for all parties involved. There are many instances where a repair reveals a health risk. The most seemingly minor issues can turn into major ones in an instant! Like a cracked foundation, which can easily lead to structural instability or the possibility of radon buildup. A crack in an old wall could finally expose occupants to asbestos. Even a broken light fixture is a sign that something isn't quite right, it indicates the possibility of faulty wiring which is a fire hazard. If any one of these issues pop up, then those using the property are in danger, while those who sold it could meet with some serious legal ramifications.

Thus, when the people call on a home inspector they are not only safeguarding their possible investments, but are also protecting people from both physical and financial harm.

Jordan was Fantastic. Very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to me and made sure that I understand everything. The inspection took a few hours but it didn't feel like it as he was very friendly and we could carry on good conversation. He sent me a very detailed report with pictures which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this company.

Jordan was great, he is very knowledgeable about what he is looking for, asked me multiple times if I had any questions for him. His inspection is very thorough and he takes pictures to document everything. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection

We used Mikkelson Home Inspections for 3 house inspections while looking for our home. As a mechanic, I always insist we inspect used vehicles before customers purchase them. It is important to know what you are getting into! We ultimately purchased a 113 year old house. We will be getting periodic inspections to help us stay on top of the maintenance going forward. Jordon and Keith have an efficient, easy way about them- it was a pleasure to work with them. Highly recommended!
